Lawn Flowers

The flowers are opening up for all the insects to enjoy the nectar and in turn pollinate the plants. Here are some Orange Hawkweed, chives and strawberry flowers blooming in my yard. Orange Hawkweed came to America from France by way of England. It was known as French Lungwort because of its supposed powers for healing respiratory ailments. It was brought over here to be used by herb doctors to cure eye diseases. The strawberry has many medicinal uses from the roots and leaves besides the tasty fruit and chives are always welcome as a tasty snack.

Rocky Plants

The Encrusted Saxifrage is blooming on the rock cliffs and I've also seen a purple flower I think is a Moss Phlox brightening up the rocks amoung the cracks.

Fishing Eagle Sunset

A wonderful evening fishing in dead calm waters in Michipicoten Bay and watching the sun set over the hills behind Perwakwia Point. Eagle and I were both lucky tonight catching fish.

Rock Faces

If you have an imagination there are faces in the rock cliffs on Lake Superior. Another calm day on Michipicoten Bay.

Big Sky

Blue waters and summer clouds at the mouth of the Michipicoten River but the lake temperature is keeping the air temperature chilly.

Rainbow Fog

The eagles are hanging out along the Michipicoten River while lake fog works it way up the river valleys. Fog banks have been coming off the lake regularly mixed in with sun, dark clouds and rainbows.
